Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and oversight of the
revenue integrity function.

Monitor and assess integrity risks through regular KPI monitoring, and ensure that the revenue integrity program is responsive to those risks.Liaison with CDM Management teams to support the maintenance and lead the enhancement of charge description master (CDM) activities via the integrated revenue cycle applications, reviewing and optimizing organizational CDM structures to ensure that CDMs accurately reflect services and supplies provided and are consistent with current industry best practices.Mentor and evaluate staff.Lead weekly revenue integrity staff meetings to track progress toward work plan activities and reactive tasks.Provide periodic reports to the revenue integrity director regarding the nature, progress, and status of the revenue integrity program, any corrective action being taken, and any recommended changes.Ensure staff members are knowledgeable about revenue assurance needs and reimbursement issues identified through audits, reviews, and aggregate data analysis.Ensure tracking and identification of potential areas of lost revenue.Review development of integrity education and training programs.
Requirements

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific
experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences 3 years of experience preferred.5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in a medical group practice or hospital business office for a large, complex health care system. Experience specifically with revenue integrity, revenue cycle operations, revenue cycle informatics, surgical nursing, or hospital coding preferred.Experience with Cerner or Epic preferred.
