Lead Reliability & MPC Engineer

Job title : Reliability and Maintenance Programs & Configuration (for higher experience) Work location : Bangalore 

Accountabilities 

The Jobholder is responsible for the delivery of the Reliability, Maintenance Program and Configuration activities provided to Airbus FTM Contracts, Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) - Tailored Support Package (TSP) and Components (C) contracts. 

In this function, the job holder shall ensure delivery of activities under his/her perimeter in line with applicable airworthiness requirements such as EASA & NAA and in accordance with Airbus Technical Standards and FHS Financial interests. 

Support to ensure on-time, on-cost, on-quality deliverables to ensure FTM Standalone, FHS-TSP & FHS-C contracts are delivered per workshare aligned with: 

● FHS Engineering teams (located in TOULOUSE HQ), 

● TSP Engineering teams (or known as customer facing teams - located 

worldwide) 

Dimensions 

● Fleet coverage 

○ all customers subscribing to Flight Hours Services, Components scope 

○ all customers, with focus per tail, subscribing to Flight Hours Services, Fleet technical management or Fleet technical Management 

Main activities 

The lead technical services engineer will work with a coherent team and overall organisation,to ensure delivery of all necessary technical activities and associated deliverables, including but not limited to the below: 

● Ensure to support management of the A/C and component 

Configuration, 

o Manage Reference Cards definition in MIS, including ICY and TCI setup, and link with manufacturer references 

o Manage aircraft configuration tree definition and update 

o Manage Complex-assemblies configuration definition as necessary 

● Ensure to support management of maintenance program definition and update for each of our TSP customers, 

o Ensure creation and regular update of Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) in coordination with respective Airbus Maintenance Department (SEM) as 

necessary 

o Oversight of AMP effectiveness and support dossier preparation for any AMP optimization 

o Ensure AMP and MIS alignment (task cards, reference cards and aircraft 

configuration tree) to secure airworthiness compliance 

● Support to follow/improve component and aircraft reliability & availability by: o Performing necessary reports and actions as per RCP to meet Customer 

requirements in a timely manner, 

o Support FHS Engineering and Operations in identifying and performing 

reliability analysis to reduce costs related to material (components and 

expendables)

● Contribute to the highest Operational and Dispatch reliability to support Airbus commercial image and contribute to the FHS-TSP contractual KPI such as Aircraft On-Time Performance (AOTP). 

● Support the development and implementation of industrialised processes, methods and tools to improve efficiency and qualitatively the activities performed. 

● Ensure quality of data in IT Tools (including but not limited to MIS) 

● Develop and maintain communications with customer facing team stakeholders, with an integrated collaboration with FHS-C and TSP operations. 

● Support business transformation by adopting industry best practices, deploy continuous improvement as well as LEAN practices. 

Outputs 

● Team engagement to reach assigned objectives on all deliverables, 

● Increased customer satisfaction in regards with AIRBUS FHS engineering support to: 

○ Maintain aircraft airworthiness, 

○ Increase A/C performance (reliability and availability), 

○ Reduce Cost of ownership and maintenance costs, 

○ Provide visibility and anticipation on technical issues, 

● Integration of activities with necessary stakeholders to generate synergies and mutual benefits. 

● Strengthened AIRBUS Services development (FHS-C and FHS-TSP / digital tools, Job Requirement 

● Minimum degree holder in Aerospace Engineering or AME with specialisation or related fields 

● Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Airline / MRO, mainly in Technical Services with knowledge of Maintenance Program and Reliability 

● Good knowledge of Continued Airworthiness Management 

● Strong communication ,Superior organisational skills, flexibility to manage multiple priorities, adaptability to changing & challenging deadlines with attention to detail, 

● Excellent team player with good communication, customer facing experience and interpersonal skills 

● Licence or Type training on commercial transport category aircraft, preferably on any Airbus product, A320 / A350 (Desirable) 

Those candidates with relevant experience ranges between (8 - 15) years are suitable for this requirement. 

The (designation / title) of this position would vary with respect to the relevant experience of the respective candidate.

The Jobholder, as a member of the FTM CiTy, operationally reports to the Head of Reliability, Maintenance Program and Configuration, FTM CiTy Engineering.
