The role you’ll contribute:
The Lead Clinical Radiology Facilitator, reporting to the Radiology Facilitator Supervisor, provides guidance and scheduling support for the Clinical Radiological Facilitators and may assist in their evaluation. Responsible for assisting the radiologist to streamline workflow processes and manages exams once they reach Archiving Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring a timely reading and report delivery to ordering and referring physicians. Evaluates studies, recognizes discrepancies and resolves issues or brings to the attention of the Radiologist, Radiology Facilitator Supervisor and Director of Practice Operations. These responsibilities involve participation in a variety of technical and administrative processes which deliver quality care to physicians, ancillary staff and patients.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Serves as shift lead including scheduling lunch rotations.
Assists Radiologist by monitoring and prioritizing all the PACS worklists for critical exams, STAT exams, established turn-around times for exams, incomplete or broken studies, corrects hanging protocols, one off reads.
Personally, follows through with communicating clinical information and observations to the radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare providers. Provides warm phone transfers to Radiologists and other departments.
Collects data and reports to Supervisor on process improvement initiatives while understanding the department performance trends and established standards.
Contributes toward process improvement by coordinating ideas submitted at staff meetings and directly to RSF management. Participates in department Gallup and patient satisfaction initiatives.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications :
Associate degree
Current valid State of Florida license as a General Radiographer, Sonographer, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Two (2) years radiology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Radiological Science
Advanced modality certification (CT, MRI, Nuclear, VI or other)
