An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Lead R&D Engineer/Scientist in Hydroprocessing Development within Honeywell UOP’s Research and Development organization. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to champion and lead the development of new hydroprocessing technology solutions for the production of both conventional and sustainable products.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and drive New Product Development programs with multi-functional teams to develop innovative new catalyst and process technology technologiesLead the design and execution of pilot plant experimental programsCollaborate with cross-functional specialists to develop winning commercial offeringsMaintain awareness of the market, competition, and new technology developments and contribute to the development technology development strategies.Identify novel solutions and author invention disclosuresAct as a local and global mentor for the less experienced scientists / engineersYOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematicsB.S. in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.5+ years of experience in a Technology, Engineering, Research & Development, or Technical Service role within the refining and petrochemical industriesWE VALUEAdvanced degree (MS, PhD) in chemical engineering or chemistryDemonstrated ability to work independently with a strong focus on delivering results and identifying alternative solutions when challenges ariseStrong understanding of catalysis and chemical engineering fundamentals and its application in the development of new catalyst solutionsExperience in project execution including planning, organizing, monitoring, and successfully completing multidisciplinary projectsExperience in developing and executing experimental plans including the use of statistical tools for data analysisKnowledge of Six Sigma concepts and their application in managing risk and uncertainty.
