We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join our Vega team in Belgrade. You will be responsible for reviewing software through the use of systematic testing, and for developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company products.  You will also be responsible for developing, modifying, and executing software test plans and test automation, and guiding and mentoring other team members in their execution of the same. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

5+ years of professional working experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer5+ years of experience working with manual and automated testing of modern web applications and Web UIs, especially in different web development frameworks  3+ years of experience in developing or contributing to test automation frameworks using Java (TestNG, Page Object Model, etc.)  2+ years of experience with Selenium or remote Selenium Grid (Lambda Test, SauceLabs, BrowserStack, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field, or equivalent industry experience  Experience testing REST APIs and web servicesExperience with Performance testing using JMeter or similar toolsExperience with defining, executing, reporting and coordinating the test strategy of web applications and their supporting architectureExperience working in a collaborative Agile development environment   Familiarity with relational databases and SQL  Ability to work with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)Ability to perform code reviews and discuss code/schema changes in Java, JavaScript, SQL or similar languages  

 

What will you be doing in this role?  

Continual development and execution of new manual and automated test solutions, and reporting problems to the development team   Create and maintain test plans, a test environment, test data, and testing toolsDrive test planning activities, lead refinement sessions with cross-functional teams, and develop scalable test automation solutions  Participate in the software development process to enable and continually measure improvements in quality  Maintains flexibility and strong working relationships with peers and management  May lead and manage project planning for the teams

The Vega project is a very forward-thinking engagement and customer relations suite of tools for public libraries, to help library administrators reach out to and involve both their patrons and their communities with more directed and personalized interactions.  Vega is an AWS-based SaaS multi-tenant platform, with multiple cross-functional components that combine to deliver a unified, connected data experience across a library’s internal and marketing data, to a customer interaction management suite that is available for use by public libraries worldwide!   
 

About the Team 

You will be joining one of our agile development teams and will work alongside developers, designers, product experts, and QA engineers to deliver frequent value to library staff and patrons across the globe. This role reports to our Manager, Quality Assurance.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within the CET time zone.

This is a hybrid position, you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
