WM Technology
Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.
Client Platforms
Client Platforms is responsible for defining and implementing an Automation Strategy across all applications supported by Wealth Management QA.

This is Vice President position that develops and maintains QA software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
As a Vice President, Lead Quality Engineering you will manage QE teams delivering both manual and automated quality testing for financials and securities trading front-end applications. Your understanding of security financial data and securities trading, your experience leading testing of front-end web applications, and your collaborative yet firm approach to getting things done will be critical to your success in this role.
What you’ll do in the role:
* Manage teams of onshore and offshore testers as they test front-end web applications for production readiness
* Be a strong advocate for quality with stakeholders to facilitate smooth quality testing
* Guide the existing test automation strategy to stronger integrations across the firm
* Proactively seek continuous improvement in how the team delivers quality testing
* Ensure the team adheres to all Software Development Life Cycle standards
* Be hands-on to help direct reports solve complex problems
* Provide subject matter expertise as needed by the team on quality best practices, securities trading, and automation approaches
* Ensure production roll testing staffing and attend production rolls as needed
* Coordinate tool enhancement needs with infra/tools team
* Communicate on team's behalf to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Drive teams professional development by designing and implementing individualized training programs
* Consult with other managers within the organization to coordinate activities
* Work in an agile environment with various scrum teams, using test management tools such as JIRA / XRAY QUALIFICATIONS
What you’ll bring to the role:
* 10+ years of experience in information technology/software development with a proven ability to ensure high quality results
* 4+ years managing quality assurance teams or engineering teams with leadership responsibilities
* Demonstrated knowledge of Financials and securities trading instruments offered on Morgan Stanley/E*TRADE
* Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases
* Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment with short sprint cycles
* Exposure to the Atlassian tool sets, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
* Experience managing multiple teams across time zones, and managing people manager
• At least +6+ years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
