Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Project Engineer in North Haven, CT. Responsibilities: * Project Leadership: Lead the design and development of roadway and highway projects, from preliminary studies through final design and construction support * Technical Oversight: Provide advanced technical expertise in horizontal and vertical roadway alignments, pavement design, grading, drainage, traffic control, and utility coordination * Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, building relationships, and ensuring satisfaction across multiple agencies (DOTs, municipalities, etc.) * Project Management: Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules; Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subconsultants to ensure timely and profitable project delivery * Quality Assurance: Review and seal plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates; Ensure adherence to applicable standards (AASHTO, MUTCD, local DOT guidelines) * Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to junior engineers and designers; Foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration * Business Development Support: Assist with proposal development, project pursuits, and client presentations; Help identify new opportunities and expand market presence
