The position is based in Vallila, Helsinki where the GE Healthcare has 700 employees divided roughly half-half between engineering R&D and manufacturing. The Helsinki site is the center of excellence in patient monitoring development, and has a long history of innovation.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities

Be part of the installed base maintenance team for our flagship CARESCAPE Patient Monitors and Modules

Lead a project team to execute product enhancement, quality, cost out or standards compliance projects

Drive electro-mechanical product design and documentation to meet Design Control rigor and applicable requirement

Create project plans, budgeting and project status report outs with plans for effective risk mitigation

Collaborate with an external OEM manufacturer on a vital sign monitor to manage product changes, cybersecurity and customer feedback resolutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, QA/RA, sourcing, service, manufacturing) and suppliers providing parts to us

Qualifications/Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physicist or equivalent knowledge/ experience.

Previous experience in leading projects and R&D activities from concept to mass production

Solid technical knowledge and learning abilities on electro-mechanical technologies (electronics, mechanics, materials, embedded devices, wireless, cybersecurity,  standards, testing) and related supplier infrastructure

Experience in facilitating team and project work, including driving regular collaboration mechanisms.

Ability to produce technical documentation and detailed project plans

Ability to work, influence and communicate within global environment

A self-starter with good communication skills

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Finnish language skill is a benefit.

EU work permit.

Desired Characteristics

Experience on medical device R&D and processes

Know-how of patient monitoring devices, parameters and clinical applications (such as ECG, SpO2, InvBP, C.O.) and related technologies or hospital infrastructure

Experience in working in regulated industry under quality management system

Excellent planning and communication skills
