Lead Product Security Engineer (m/f/d) - Prague

At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Product Security Engineer to join us and help us build cybersecurity Certification Lab. You will focus on the security of industrial products such as PLCs, RTUs, and Profinet-based devices. This role involves hands-on testing, design analysis, and collaboration with development teams to ensure products meet the highest security standards and comply with regulatory requirements like the Cyber Resilience Act.


Your task will be:
Analyze product designs to identify potential security vulnerabilitiesDevelop and refine security testing practices based on legal and regulatory requirementsConduct security assessments and penetration testing on industrial control systems and embedded devicesSupervise and mentor a small team of testers, guiding them through complex evaluations and assessmentsFollow current events and trends and keep on top of evolving cybersecurity threats, tools, and standardsWhat we will appreciate from you:
5+ years of experience in software security, application security, or product securityExcellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skillsHands-on experience with penetration testing tools and techniquesUnderstanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and risk assessmentFamiliarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST)Experience with industrial control systems (PLCs, RTUs) and protocols (e.g., Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA) is plusExperience leading or mentoring technical teams is a plusKnowledge of relevant regulations like the Cyber Resilience Act is an advantage
