The Dispute Lifecycle team is looking for a Lead Solution PMT to drive our Dispute application strategy forward through analysis and problem-solving. In this role, you’ll work within the Dispute Lifecycle team to grow their knowledge and expertise; transforming the way Mastercard captures, processes, stores and visualizes transactional data.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. You will work with teams across the company to implement new data solutions while maintaining the stability of the platform.
Overview
Lead Product Manager - Technical would be responsible for following activities:
• Developing inspiring platform/product visions, derived from business needs, and technology trends
• Decomposes business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that drive the platform/product roadmap
• Works with and oversees Technical Project Managers, Product Development Partners, Developers and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements
• Oversees team-wide product operations, leads junior PM-Ts who may own individual components, and coordinates team-wide improvement goals
• Collects and shares features and user stories with engineering teams
• Exhibits expertise across multiple platform products
• Builds tight connections to resources to drive overall strategy and teams inside your organization while influencing those outside your organization to deliver the expected results
• Identify short-and-medium-term risks to platform product development and segment adoption, while proposing solutions to address them
• Use data to make decisions
• Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators on the organization’s score card and move them in a positive direction
• Leverages data analysis skills to research difficult or ambiguous problems, leading cross-disciplinary teams where necessary and communicating recommendations to senior leadership
• Uses data driven metrics as a feedback loop into the backlog and balances the priorities against new feature requests
• Manage escalations, assess the alternative to resolve (path to green) and builds a plan for resolution
• Engages with business partners to identify key platform product issues; solicits feedback on platform product roadmap
• Represents Mastercard with external stakeholders for escalations and during strategic roadmap discussions
• Identifies meaningful components of competitive analysis that informs decisions for the platform product portfolio and roadmaps
All About You
• Experience building complex technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly
• Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
• Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy
• Experience and proficiency with microservice design, near real-time, scalable fault tolerant platform design, API design, and distributed systems operations in a DevOps model
• Proven track record of data driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams
• Comprehensive experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc.) and CI/CD
• Can communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity
• Demonstrated experience building relationships, partnering with and influencing executive leadership while commanding the respect of the individual engineers across the organization
• Deep understanding of the platform, the integration patterns, the organizational capabilities, and the company wide assets that can be leveraged to provide technical solutions to customer problems
• Understand and can explain business context and the associated customer use cases along with the technology supporting the platform product and are able to hold your own in debates with others; recognizes discordant views and takes part in constructive dialog to resolve them
Experience Preferred
• Greater than 5 years of experience managing multi-stakeholder programs in a global organization or equivalent type organization.
• Experience with transaction switching and Mastercom (payment disputes) product and a deep understanding of how payments work is a plus
• Understanding of RESTful API and Microservices architectures.
• Proven experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
