Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, bachelor’s in engineering technology OR equivalent. Master of Science in Engineering preferred. Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience. Familiarity with automotive driveline systems and/or aerospace gearboxes. Familiarity with electrified powertrains including high speed applications. Focus on hypoid and bevel gears preferred. Proficiency in gear design software (e.g., Klingelnberg KIMOS or Gleason GEMS and Transmission 3D. Romax and KissSoft would be a plus) Strong decision-making skills with the ability to grasp technical concepts. Strong knowledge of gear manufacturing processes, materials, and heat treatment Experience with durability testing, failure analysis, and NVH. Ability to prioritize and work multiple tasks to completion. Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure clear and effective group communication with fellow engineers, customers, sales and manufacturing. MS Office proficient. Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct engineering calculations, use/support predictive software tools and accurate definition of load/boundary conditions for CAE. Experience writing technical specifications, validation test procedures and test reports.
