Position Title: Lead Process Engineer

Job Purpose
+ Lead the process engineering discipline for FEED and Detail Engineering projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
+ Ensure technical integrity, safety, and cost-effective solutions across front-end and detailed design stages.
+ Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and robust deliverables to meet project schedules and client expectations.
+ Drive process engineering optimization, risk assessment, and adherence to applicable standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead the process engineering workpack development for FEED and Detail Engineering, including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and equipment specifications.
+ Own process design basis, design criteria, and datasheets for process equipment (towers, reactors, exchangers, pumps, compressors, etc.).
+ Perform and supervise process simulations, steady-state and dynamic analysis, and utility integration studies.
+ Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, IEC, NFPA) and regulatory requirements.
+ Manage technical interfaces with other disciplines (mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation) and third-party vendors.
+ Conduct risk assessments (HAZOP, CHAZOP, SIL, LOPA) and participate in safety reviews and design for operability/maintainability.
+ Review, approve, and issue technical deliverables (Reports, MOC/Change notes, query logs, design change requests).
+ Mentor and develop junior/process engineers; support staffing, training, and performance reviews.
+ Develop and manage execution plans, man-hour estimates, and budgets for process scope.
+ Ensure quality assurance and documentation practices, including drawing standards, datasheets, and requisition packages.
+ Support field construction and commissioning activities as needed, including punch lists and as-built documentation.
+ Stay abreast of technological advancements and implement value-added solutions.
Experience
+ Experience: 15 years of experience in FEED and Detail Engineering and EPCM experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
+ ADNOC EPC/PMC experience are highly preferred
+ Demonstrated track record of delivering FEED and detail design projects from concept through completion.
Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor's of Engineering in a related field.
+ Professional membership or relevant certifications (e.g., PE/Chartered Engineer) are a plus.
+ Certification in process safety (e.g., PSM, HAZOP lead) is advantageous.
Technical Skills
+ Proficient in process simulation and design software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Shell Baan, or equivalent).
+ Strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, and equipment sizing.
+ Familiarity with FEED deliverables, change management, and document controls.
+ Experience with utility integration, refrigeration cycles, heating/cooling utilities, and energy optimization.
+ Knowledge of process control concepts and instrumentation fundamentals.
+ Understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) standards and DIN/ISO conventions.
+ Ability to perform mass and energy balances, process optimization, and safety reviews.
+ Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
