Lead - QA Lab - Cloud & Automation Operations 

Responsibilities: 

Design verification, implementation and / or operations of virtualized and cloud-native telco applications in the network  Building of Lab Hardware infrastructure with the requisite capacity and upgradation from time to time to the latest version Meeting of all SLAs for cloud uptime and availability Manage a team for Service Delivery and its cloud recovery Deployment & life cycle management of openstack & openshift container platforms for VNFs/CNFs testing for the lab environment  Understanding of Configuration & Deployment of routers and switches in lab and through SDN wherever required.  Preparation and understanding of BoQ for the lab infrastructure expansion  Drive implementation of end-to-end automation of NFVI and cloud-native solutions including zero touch provisioning of Server HW, OS, Platform, applications & services and their Lifecycle Management through CI/CD platform Handover to be taken of existing topology of lab networks and its configuration Documentation for configurations, designs, topology and processes  Monthly/weekly delivery progress report discussion with manager Perform system monitoring, integrity and availability of all hardware, infrastructure resources, systems, application logs. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures for testing in lab Perform preventative maintenance on infrastructure and related peripherals through OEM partners Perform system administration, backups / recovery on a regular basis Apply upgrades on network as per the latest software version availability from OEM  Trouble-shooting and trace analysis through monitoring tools like wireshark/port mirroring etc Support Validation of VNFs (from network perspective) across different clouds primarily with Cisco/ Nokia Fabric & SDN Ansible and playbook creation for multi-site automated deployment Design and Implementation of CI/CD parameterized pipeline for Application builds process Preparation/Verification of HLD & LLD for networking Work with partners to perform necessary proof of concepts and provide necessary project, system and technical documentation in a timely manner. Participate and contribute in standardization forums and work groups related to Cloud & Automation. 

 

 

Skills and Experience Required:

Detailed understanding of virtualization and Cloud Native technologies Understanding and technical know how of Deployment of horizontal clouds with RHOSP, RHOCP on multiple NFVI layer combinations like COTS HW from HPE & Dell, SDN / fabric from Nokia & Cisco. Understanding of Installation and commissioning/ Configuration & Deployment (except physical installation) of routers and switches deployed in network primarily from Cisco/ Nokia vendors Hands-on experience on deploying and managing Kubernetes and Container platforms Good understanding of Management and Orchestration (e.g., MANO), Network Management, OSS/BSS, and TM Forum standards Knowledgeable in 4G and 5G network architecture and ecosystem Experience deploying solutions on variety of cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCP etc. in accordance to best practice methodologies Extensive experience on automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform etc. Broad datacenter understanding and experience across disciplines, including:
o Virtualization and containers (VMware, KVM, Kubernetes, Dockers)
o Operating systems (Linux, Windows) 
o Storage systems including SAN, NAS, object storage
o Network switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls
o Data protection and business continuity Strong presentation skills including the ability to conduct architecture and design meetings with internal stakeholders and partners Strong Knowledge in 4G and 5G network architecture and ecosystem is desirable  Certifications in cloud or networking preferred   5-7 years of relevant experience in cloud and automation
