Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Job tasks and assignments can be numerous and often change throughout the day based on operational needs. Must be able to used knife and/or scissors. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing pushing, pulling and reaching may be required. This position works in a cold wet environment.

Requirements:

-Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.-Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; must function well under stress.Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting 70 lbs. or more
