This facility operates six days a week and produces sausage crumbles and dry sausage.

This position has a starting base rate of pay $24.35 per hour, and an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift position placement.   

Role Overview:

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.

This position is for you if you are: 

Capable of maintaining an atmosphere of cooperation within the department through proper communication, discipline, evaluation, and good interpersonal relationship. Capable of learning each job within the department. Capable of organizing the work and meeting the requirements within the department. Able to maintain accurate records. Responsible for machine adjustments and minor repairs as needed. Responsible for close cooperation with maintenance on repairs and daily servicing of equipment. Responsible for employee training regarding equipment operations and safety. Other duties as assigned. 

 

In this position you:

Must wear necessary safety equipment, etc. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read explicit simple instructions and do required paperwork. Must be willing to work a 7-day rotating schedule. 

 

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.  

Must be willing and able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more. The Team Member will move from one area of production to another. The Team Member will regularly be required to stand, stoop and bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility. 

You will qualify for this position if you:

Have at least 3 months of operator experience documented in the work history section of the application (can be a combination of employers as long as it is at least 3 months).

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
