Your role
As a Lead Engineer in our Queensland Energy Tean, you'll guide purposeful work that supports the future of the energy sector. Collaborating with a diverse, multidisciplinary team, you’ll explore integrated solutions, offer thoughtful perspectives, and partner with clients to help them build a more sustainable world.
What you’ll be doing
• Empowering energy transformation – through direct engagement, support clients in developing power generation, energy storage, and network operation projects
• Collaborating across disciplines – work closely with a range of experts to explore creative solutions to system needs
• Providing insights with care – share well-informed guidance that supports confident, inclusive decision-making
• Supporting the energy transition – contribute to renewable and firming technologies including storage, solar, wind while maintaining the reliability of the grid
• Improving systems mindfully – use thoughtful techniques to understand performance and identify areas for positive change
• Underpin team growth and development – support the Aurecon team through effective management, training and business development activities
What you’ll bring

The ability to bring innovation to complex problems using your problem solving and analytical skillsRelevant tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering and be registered as a RPEQAlignment with many of the Aurecon Attributes – co-creative, commercial, engaging, fearless, inquisitive, resourceful, sense maker, and unconventional thinkerA willingness to travel with the possibility of taking on a site roleAt least 15 years post-graduation experience in a role with close contact with the power industry, consulting, or power project developer/owner/operatorKnowledge and understanding of the control systems of large-scale power generation plantsA strong business acumen and experience in a consulting environmentHow we support your growth
