**This position will serve as the lead worker and expert for payroll services for the Minneapolis campus.**
**Job responsibilities include:**
+ Perform review and processing of all payroll related transactions, employee expense documents, departmental scheduling and timekeeping software (EST) review and editing, and other payroll associated tasks.
+ Serve as a super user for EST software and a liaison between campus payroll staff and central office.
+ Perform finance department tasks such as auditing and review of finance reports with presenting findings, and provide assistance to the department through other tasks as assigned to maintain efficient business office operations.

**Minimum Qualifications**

A minimum of one year of clerical or technical accounting experience, which demonstrates:
+ Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) sufficient to analyze, interpret, and prepare financial information, records and reports; locate errors; and recommend solutions to procedural or other fiscal problems.
+ Knowledge of Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT), or other private or governmental accounting system, sufficient to query and compile records and reports, and assist with preparation and maintenance of spending plans, financial status reports and budget requests.
+ Knowledge of SEMA4 or comparable payroll system sufficient to process payroll, business expense reimbursements and expense transfers.
+ Working knowledge of electronic spreadsheets, word processing software, computers and other office equipment such as calculators.
+ Math skills sufficient to calculate, review and reconcile financial data and balance accounts.
+ Ability to design, interpret and explain work procedures and operations and provide advice on fiscal policies and procedures.
+ Communication skills sufficient to perform the job duties of the position.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Associate's degree or higher in Business, Accounting or an Accounting related field, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience using SWIFT and SEMA4 as they relate to purchasing, accounts payable and payroll.
+ Ability to work independently while knowing when management consultation is needed.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and ability to meet strict deadlines
+ Ability to use Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.

A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check will be conducted on finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check.
A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
