Job Summary:Oakland Family Medicine is looking for a motivated and experienced Lead Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our dedicated team. In this key role, you'll lead by example—supporting front desk operations, providing excellent patient service, and helping coordinate day-to-day workflow for the PSR team.
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, actively contribute, and step in wherever needed to ensure our patients receive timely, compassionate care.
Job Description: What You’ll Be Doing:
+ Lead front desk operations and support PSR team members to ensure efficient patient flow
+ Serve as a role model in delivering excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff
+ Coordinate scheduling, registration, check-in/check-out, and insurance verification
+ Step in to cover PSR duties as needed, including phone coverage, patient intake, and payment processing
+ Assist with training new team members and reinforcing process consistency
+ Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support daily operations
+ Help resolve front-end issues and serve as a point of contact for escalations
What We’re Looking For:
+ Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare registration setting
+ Familiarity with Sorian or other EMR systems is highly preferred
+ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment with professionalism and adaptability
+ Willingness to step in and support the team wherever needed—this is a hands-on role
+ Someone with a natural ability to lead, support, and bring out the best in others.
