Job Description

How will you make an impact?

As a Packaging/Labeling Lead at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll play a key role in ensuring our pharmaceutical products meet quality standards. This position allows you to bring your skills to bear in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.

What will you do?

Ensure operations are performed safely and responsibly, promoting an injury-free and incident-free workplace.Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) for pharmaceutical products.Ensure batch documentation is prepared and accurate throughout the production process through periodic checks and detailed pass downs between shifts.Verify and document production activities meticulously in batch records, logbooks, and other records.Use SAP for product tracking and locating.Monitor production rates and machine functions to ensure efficiency is maintained.Troubleshoot operational and production issues to determine effective corrective actions.Disassemble, assemble, clean, and operate manufacturing equipment flawlessly.Prepare equipment and components for operations with outstanding attention to detail.Assist in the commissioning and validation of new equipment and production areas.Maintain and clean classified environments thoroughly.Maintain a level of inspection readiness at all times.Communicate effectively, both written and verbally to resolve production, quality, or safety issues.Participate in On the Job (OJT) training, area safety initiatives, and lean manufacturing initiatives.Train new employees and perform other duties as required.Assist servicers as needed with documentation and product handling.

How will you get here?

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:

At least 2 years of manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience, or a minimum of 1 year with an associate degree.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Proven verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer skills and strong interpersonal abilities.Ability to work independently and flexibly with departmental schedules, including overtime and all shifts.Capability to achieve and maintain qualifications for cleanroom environments.SAP knowledge/experience a plus.EXCEL, Minitab or JMP statistical software understanding a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Eyesight of 20/20(corrected) and not colorblind.Ability to move about office locations and manipulate medium weights of 25-50 pounds.Occasionally push and pull 50-100+ pounds and maintain visual acuity for prolonged periods.Full range of motion in upper and lower extremities, with capacity for prolonged standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
