Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead or Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer in Pasadena, CA. Responsibilities: * Lead project planning, coordination, and execution with minimal oversight * Independently manage conceptual design to construction drawing development for multiple small and medium-sized projects * Develop designs compliant with Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards * Handle HVAC calculations, design, and layout of equipment, duct, and piping systems * Demonstrate strong understanding of psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and control systems * Engage engineering applications and/or managers in project decisions * Proactively communicate and coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Service departments, Controls, and trade partners * Conduct economic and energy analyses * Assist with field engineering tasks such as project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and troubleshooting * Ensure quality of design drawings and models * Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and project team members * Manage time to meet project schedules and deadlines * Oversee design team members as requested by the Manager * Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
