About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to join the Secure Network Services (SNS) team within Application Hosting. This role is pivotal in delivering foundational network infrastructure that supports Technology Infrastructure products across Wells Fargo Data Centers. SNS also enables secure connectivity to business partners, the public Internet, and major Public Cloud Providers. As part of our transformation journey, we are accelerating network capacity provisioning through full automation—enhancing transparency and efficiency for both consumers and operators throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.
In this role, you will:
Lead resolution and implementation of complex technical issues across large-scale network systems and applicationsUtilize diagnostic and simulation tools to troubleshoot, maintain, and restore servicesEvaluate data queries, create procedures, and perform limited programming to optimize systemsResearch performance trends and recommend process improvementsManage complex migrations, upgrades, installations, and configurationsAssess production changes for risk, ensuring compliance with quality, security, and regulatory standardsIdentify technology process gaps and recommend improvements to meet SLAsCollaborate with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and achieve goalsExecute network changes via change control processes and support enterprise-level engineering projectsDesign, validate, and document B2B infrastructure servicesEnsure adherence to technology standards, design principles, and architectural guidelinesPartner with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Application teamsDrive modernization efforts and decommission legacy technologiesMitigate risks and manage dependencies to ensure proper sequencing and executionAlign with Wells Fargo’s Risk Management policies and proceduresRequired Qualifications:
5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for large enterprise environment5+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP, Static) in a large enterprise environment 5+ years of experience with configuration of routing and switching latest platforms and solutions - Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product lineDesired Qualifications:
CCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certification preferred - Datacenter Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineeringDemonstrated skill with creating and/or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teamsExperience with scripting YAML/Python/Ansible/GITHUBExperience working in a Product/Agile environment utilizing Atlassian Jira productsExperience and familiarity with Change control processes - Service NowExcellent documentation and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship building skills.Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio ProfessionalExperience with regulatory and auditor collaborationJob Expectations:

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
