JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Lead Milieu Counselor 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Adult Day Treatment Center 

Dept/Div: BHCS

Supervised by: ADTC Program Director 

Rate: $ (Full-Time)

General Statement of Duties: Works within the program under the supervision of the Program Director. Implements and/or assists in the care and treatment of clients who are emotionally disabled.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a caseload of clients as assigned by the Program Director.

2. Complete clinical documentation

3. Person centered treatment planning

4. Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team

5. Implementing the clinical aspects of the program (i.e., group and milieu treatment).

6. Actively participate in supervision meetings as well as all other required meetings.

7. Attend all required trainings and demonstrate continued growth and competency.

8. Perform duties consistent with program and agency policy and procedures.

9. Perform duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Universal/standard precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.

10. Maintain a valid driver’s license and own means of transportation for the purpose of attending external meetings, transporting persons served and shopping for program items as required.

11. Coordinate group curriculum for milieu

12. Coordinate and/or assist the Program Director with milieu activities and events.

13. Coordinate group coverage when staff are absent.

14. Act as Safety Officer for the program.

15. Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by the Program Director.

Qualifications:

•Master’s Degree Behavioral Health Sciences or Education preferred, or five years of experience in a MH setting.

•Must have a valid driver’s license in own state of residence.
