Job Description
Take the lead on mechanical engineering projects, offering hands-on technical guidance to ensure designs are solid and execution is top-notch. Spearhead the planning and development of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems, especially for healthcare and mission-critical spaces. Stay sharp on building codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability practices to bring fresh, forward-thinking ideas to the table. Act as a go-to technical partner for clients, helping shape solutions that are tailored to their specific needs. Guide and support junior and mid-level engineers, encouraging a culture of learning and growth.
ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical engineering projects, ensuring high-quality design and execution.Plan and develop HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for healthcare and mission-critical spaces.Ensure compliance with building codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability practices.Engage with clients to tailor solutions to their needs and support business growth.Collaborate with business development to explore new opportunities in the Atlanta and Carolina markets.Support proposal writing, client interviews, and presentations.Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.Collaborate with colleagues to align on best practices and contribute to leadership.Essential Skills10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with a strong technical background.Experience in mechanical design, HVAC, plumbing design, and fire protection design.Previous project experience in healthcare, life sciences, and data centers.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or on track to obtain licensure in Georgia or the Carolinas.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and various engineering analysis software.Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, energy codes, and healthcare design needs.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience leading complex mechanical projects from planning through construction.Familiarity with cross-functional team collaboration and mentoring other engineers.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Work Environment
The office is located in Atlanta, GA, with 10 employees. Employees have the flexibility to work remotely, with optional office presence on Mondays and Thursdays. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
