Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Castings Product Owner
Job Description SummaryGE Aerospace operations have been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years! Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts, and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHAS’s highest safety rating.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Complete Significant Process Substantiation (SPS) for new parts and/or revision for existing parts as they prepare for productionOwn and process relevant data for completion of SPSCollaborate and learn best practices from local Controlled Title Holders with regards to casting and ceramic interaction on dimensions, inspection, and yieldPartner with design team to ensure producibility castings for new and existing programs while still meeting the design intentLeverage and promote the use of the GE Aerospace Flight Deck Operating System as the framework for problem-solving and decision-making, supporting new casting part numbers and problem-solving with an emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and CostUse judgment and ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cyclesUse technical experience and analytical thinkingUse multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisionsAct as a resource for colleagues with less experienceExplain information and possess skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within fieldConvey performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of engineering or other appropriate technical experience)At least an additional 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
