At Lineage, the world’s largest temperature-controlled logistics company, you’ll take on a critical role as a Lead Technician, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the systems that power our operations. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll perform advanced maintenance work while guiding and supporting a team of technicians to keep our automated and material handling systems running at their best.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Lead by example in daily maintenance operations, performing inspections, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and complex repairs on conveyors, racking, refrigeration systems, electrical distribution, and facility infrastructure.

Maintain and repair Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including forklifts, reach trucks, and aerial lifts to ensure safe, efficient warehouse operations.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.

Guide and support technicians, assigning tasks, providing technical expertise, and ensuring high-quality, safe work practices.

Manage documentation by utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders, tracking, and reporting.

Partner with leadership to monitor budgets for labor, parts, and capital projects, ensuring efficient resource use.

Champion continuous improvement, contributing ideas and solutions that drive equipment reliability, cost savings, and energy efficiency.

Coordinate and oversee work with third-party maintenance contractors as needed.

Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and company safety standards.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

4+ years of maintenance experience in a warehouse, production, or processing facility; trade school or technical training may supplement experience.

2+ years of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting (especially in automated environments).

4+ years of industrial refrigeration experience (ammonia, Freon, CO2) preferred; Refrigeration Operator II or CIRO certification within 6 months of hire desirable.

Knowledge of electrical codes and standards; ability to read and interpret technical diagrams such as P&IDs.

Hands-on experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, reach trucks, and aerial lifts.

Proficient with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to guide less experienced technicians.

Comfortable working in extreme environments: -20°F cold storage to 100°F dry storage (with PPE provided).

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.; heavier lifting may be required depending on site.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations as required.

Willingness to work in high-noise environments and at heights when necessary.

Pay Range:$28.56 - $48.17
