Position
+ Title: Lead Interface Engineer

Job Purpose
+ Provide strategic leadership for interface management across FEED and Detail Engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
+ Define interface management processes, standards, and deliverables to ensure seamless coordination between disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, reliability) and external stakeholders.
+ Identify, track, and mitigate interface risks to protect project scope, schedule, cost, and safety.
+ Mentor interface engineers, drive quality, and ensure timely resolution of interfaces throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
+ Establish and maintain project interfaces (technical, contractual, vendor, and regulatory) across all disciplines.
+ Develop and manage interface control documents (ICDs), interface registers, and RACI matrices.
+ Facilitate coordination meetings, clash resolution, and integration reviews to ensure constructible and operable designs.
+ Review and approve interface-related deliverables (P&IDs, drawings, datasheets, MOC/Change Notes, RFIs, technical queries).
+ Lead risk assessments related to interfaces (HAZOP/HAZID, RAM, LOPA) and implement mitigation actions.
+ Manage vendor and contractor interfaces, including third-party design reviews and integration with internal teams.
+ Support field activities during construction, commissioning, and start-up with focus on interface clearance and handover documentation.
+ Ensure QA/QC practices for interface documentation and maintain traceability across changes.
+ Monitor progress, cost, and risk associated with interfaces; report to project leadership and stakeholders.
+ Stay current with advances in interface management tools and methodologies; propose value-added solutions.
Experience
+ Experience: 15+ years of experience in FEED and Detail Engineering and EPCM experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
+ ADNOC EPC/PMC experience are highly preferred
+ Demonstrated track record delivering robust interface management on FEED/detail projects.
Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a related field.
+ Professional membership or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-RMP) are a plus.
+ Certification related to interface management or project controls is advantageous.
Technical Skills
+ Strong background in interface management, risk assessment, and multidisciplinary coordination.
+ Proficiency with ICDs, interface registers, RACI matrices, and project documentation control.
+ Experience with FEED and detail engineering deliverables and workflows; familiarity with change management processes.
+ Knowledge of standards and codes relevant to interfacing disciplines (as applicable to Oil & Gas).
+ Ability to perform impact analysis, constructability checks, and integration planning.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
