Role Summary:

Baker Hughes has a new opportunity for Lead Instrumentation Engineer to join the team in Bangalore, India.

Essential Responsibilities: As the Lead Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and arranging electrical systems for Compressors and Gas/Steam Turbine applications. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced technology, contributing to company profitability and productivity. Your responsibilities will include integrating cost-effective solutions into your designs.

Design Execution: Apply sound engineering principles to execute designs on assigned projects, adhering to Baker Hughes standards.Instrumentation Selection: Select and size instrumentation for industrial applications, ensuring compliance with international design standards and regulatory requirements.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with all project stakeholders to deliver high-quality optimal instrumentation designs that meet customer contractual requirements.Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on assigned projects.Deliverables: Produce all sensing and instrumentation deliverables, encompassing both basic and detailed engineering, for assigned projects.Client Interaction: Participate in client discussions and project review meetings, demonstrating ownership of the instrumentation design for the safe and reliable operation of rotating equipment.3D Modelling: Utilize 3D software to review instrumentation loop arrangements based on installation conditions.SMART Instrumentation: Design and configure SMART instrumentation to mitigate susceptibility to electric and electromagnetic noise.Electrical Optimization: Optimize electrical installations to standardize solutions in collaboration with the Manufacturing department.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Have a B.E/BTech or M.E/MTech in Instrumentation & Control or Electronics Instrumentation.Have at least 5 years of proven experience in an engineering position focused on instrumentation design, of which a minimum of 1 year in rotating equipment design.Be proficient in instrumentation design and related development tools, along with knowledge of industry codes and standards.

Desired Characteristics:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.Preferable knowledge of 3D modelling tools (NX), electrical installation, and cable routing.Experience with AVEVA and AUTOCAD.Fluency in spoken and written English.
