Our client, a leading EPC firm in the Houston area, is seeking a Lead Instrumentation Designer to join their engineering team. This role will lead a team of designers supporting a greenfield offshore floating platform project for a major Oil & Gas client.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate a team of instrumentation designers throughout all phases of the project.
• Participate in client and interdisciplinary coordination meetings to ensure alignment on project scope, progress, and deliverables.
• Conduct weekly discipline meetings to review upcoming activities, track deliverables, and assess progress.
• Perform 3D modeling tasks including routing of cable trays, cables, lighting, and other equipment-related components as design data becomes available.
• Review and redline vendor documentation across multiple revisions to ensure compliance with project standards, including tagging and equipment placement.
• Interface with equipment vendors, particularly for components housed within the Motor Control Center (MCC) building and associated distribution panels.
• Alternate between 3D modeling and drawing production based on project needs and schedule.
