About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technology Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This is a critical role, requiring a hands-on, all-rounder professional with a deep understanding of end-to-end technology infrastructure within a banking environment, particularly supporting a fast-paced trading floor. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert, a proactive problem-solver, and a key contributor to the stability and performance of our core systems.
In this role, you will:
Trade Floor & End-User Support:
Provide expert-level, hands-on support for a diverse range of technology on the trading floor. This includes desktops (Windows),windows applications, market data terminals (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv), voice systems, and turret phones.Take ownership of the full lifecycle of our technology infrastructure, including design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization. This covers physical and virtual servers, storage, networking, and data center operations.Administration:
Lead the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of our Windows desktop and server environments. Ensure systems are secure, patched, and performing optimally for all users, especially traders.Spearhead and contribute to various infrastructure projects, from system upgrades and migrations to implementing new technologies. Manage vendor relationships and work with global teams to ensure successful project delivery.Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures. Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for all infrastructure designs, processes, and proceduresImplement and manage monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact business operations. Conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure system resilience and high availability.Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationWindows: Extensive experience with Windows Desktop and Server operating systems. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and scripting (e.g., PowerShell).Trading Systems: Solid experience with trade floor infrastructure, including market data systems (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and trading applications.Networking: A strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and the ability to troubleshoot network-related issues.Voice/Data: Experience with voice systems, including turret phones and voice recording systems common in financial institutions.Desired Qualifications:
10 - 15 years of proven experience in technology infrastructure, with a significant portion in a banking or financial services environment.Adaptability: A demonstrated ability to be an "all-rounder" and handle a wide range of infrastructure tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, traders, and senior management.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems with minimal downtime.Compliance: An understanding of the regulatory and security requirements within the financial services sector is highly desirable.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Posting End Date:
