Role Overview:
UST is seeking a skilled Power BI Lead to take ownership of the design, development, and optimization of business intelligence solutions using Power BI and related tools. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to deliver scalable, insightful dashboards and data models. The position combines hands-on development, data modeling, and leadership responsibilities to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and support of BI applications using Power BI, SQL Server, Salesforce, GCP, and PostgreSQL.
Design and implement dimensional and relational data models (Star and Snowflake schemas).
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI deliverables.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and executive leadership to align BI solutions with business objectives.
Develop complex T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, views, and indexes for backend processing.
Create and manage SSAS OLAP cubes and develop advanced DAX expressions.
Use external tools like Tabular Editor and DAX Studio for model tuning and optimization.
Customize and optimize queries and stored procedures to implement business logic.
Implement advanced Power BI features such as Incremental Refresh, Row-Level Security (RLS), Parameterization, Dataflows, and Gateways.
Design and deliver reports and dashboards using both SSRS and Power BI.
Optimize reports for performance using Mixed and Direct Query modes.
Required Skills & Experience:8+ years of experience in BI development, with a strong focus on Power BI and SQL.
Expertise in data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) and performance optimization.
Proficiency in T-SQL, DAX, and Power BI report development.
Experience with SSAS, SSRS, and external BI tools (Tabular Editor, DAX Studio).
Hands-on Power BI administration and implementation of advanced features.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with senior stakeholders and business leaders.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Salesforce.
