Lead II - Software Engineering

Role Proficiency:

Act creatively to develop applications by selecting appropriate technical options optimizing application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions. Account for others' developmental activities; assisting Project Manager in day to day project execution.

Outcomes:

     Interpret the application feature and component designs to develop the same in accordance with specifications.      Code debug test document and communicate product component and feature development stages.      Validate results with user representatives integrating and commissions the overall solution.      Select and create appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components while creating own solutions for new contexts      Optimises efficiency cost and quality.      Influence and improve customer satisfaction      Influence and improve employee engagement within the project teams Set FAST goals for self/team; provide feedback to FAST goals of team members

Measures of Outcomes:

Additional Comments:

Key Responsibilities: * Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions using Terraform on GCP. * Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other relevant tools. * Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and release processes. * Monitor infrastructure and application performance, proactively addressing issues and incidents. * Implement security best practices and compliance requirements across all infrastructure components. * Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration to support scaling and rapid deployment. * Troubleshoot and resolve environment and deployment-related issues quickly and effectively. * Maintain documentation for infrastructure processes, procedures, and environments. Required Skills & Qualifications: * 6–8 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). * Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, IAM, VPC, GKE). * Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and provisioning cloud resources. * Solid experience with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins (creating pipelines, plugins, integrations). * Good understanding of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes – preferably GKE). * Good to have some knowledge about Bash, Python, or Groovy. * Experience with GitOps and version control systems like GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab. * Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver). * Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Preferred Qualifications: * GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus. * Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments. * Exposure to other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a bonus. * Strong understanding of networking and security concepts in the cloud.
