Salesforce.com (SFDC) Senior Developer – Job Description

Experience Range:
8–9 years of overall IT experience with at least 5–6 years of hands-on Salesforce.com development and implementation experience.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Salesforce Senior Developer/System Analyst with deep technical expertise in Salesforce development, configuration, and deployment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning (Aura/LWC), integrations, and CI/CD processes, along with excellent communication skills to work with global stakeholders and lead project delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Must-Have Skills:

Salesforce Development: Strong coding experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components (Aura and LWC), JavaScript, SOQL.

Salesforce Projects: Minimum 4 actual project implementations in Salesforce Lightning version.

Platform Development: Hands-on experience with Visual Studio Code, SFDX, Data Loader, Git, GitLab, Copado, and Change Sets.

Admin & Configuration: Experience with user/profile setup, security models, page layouts, record types, workflows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards.

Integration Experience: REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Metadata API, Force.com Bulk API.

Deployment & CI/CD: Proven experience with deployments using tools like GitHub, GitLab, Bamboo, Copado, ANT, or Eclipse.

Certifications:

Salesforce Platform Developer II or DEV 501 (Full completion)

Salesforce Advanced Admin (ADM301)

Sales Cloud/Service Cloud Consultant Certifications

Cloud Experience: Exposure to Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Einstein AI, FSL, Analytics Cloud.

Mobile & Platform: Experience with Salesforce1/vfmobile, Heroku, Radian6.

Other Technical Skills:

Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, XML, AJAX, Google APIs, JQuery, or other JavaScript frameworks.

Background in Java/J2EE or .NET technologies is highly preferred.

Database skills – SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and schema design.

ETL Tools – Experience with Data Loader or tools like Informatica, Boomi, Cast Iron, Mulesoft.

Admin Skills: Strong knowledge of standard Salesforce admin functions and security model.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with U.S.-based onsite teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and related tools.

Perform Salesforce administration, configuration, and data modeling.

Implement business automation using Process Builder, Flows, Approval Processes, and Triggers.

Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and participate in knowledge transition from onsite teams.

Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using APIs and middleware tools.

Manage deployments and troubleshoot deployment issues using CI/CD tools and best practices.

Follow coding best practices and ensure proper test coverage and code quality.

Design and develop reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
