Lead II - EDI Developer
Roles & Responsibilities:

EDI Design & Development:

Design, build, and maintain EDI solutions that align with business requirements.

Develop and update EDI mappings using X12, EDIFACT, and XML formats.

Integration & Collaboration:

Integrate EDI systems with internal applications (ERP, logistics, CRM, etc.).

Work with cross-functional teams (business, IT, vendors) to ensure seamless implementation.

Testing & Troubleshooting:

Perform unit and system testing for EDI transactions.

Investigate and resolve issues with inbound/outbound EDI messages.

Mapping & Documentation:

Create, modify, and maintain EDI maps and trading partner configurations.

Maintain detailed documentation of all EDI processes, configurations, and changes.

Support & Maintenance:

Provide technical support and resolve EDI-related incidents.

Monitor data exchanges and ensure compliance with SLAs and standards.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on EDI trends, protocols, and integration techniques.

Identify areas for automation and process optimization.

Must-Have Skills:

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on EDI development and support experience.

Strong understanding of EDI standards: X12, EDIFACT, and common transaction sets (e.g., 204, 990, 214, 997).

Proficiency in EDI communication protocols: AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN.

Experience with EDI mapping tools (e.g., Seeburger, Sterling B2B Integrator, GXS, IBM Gentran, etc.).

Solid programming knowledge in SQL and one or more of: Java / C++.

Experience with error handling, exception monitoring, and transaction reconciliation.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience in logistics or supply chain integration projects.

Familiarity with API-based integration (REST, SOAP) and modern integration platforms.

Understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics.

Exposure to cloud-based EDI platforms or iPaaS (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi).

Knowledge of message acknowledgment flows and compliance tracking.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting project deadlines.
