Job Title: Scala/Spark Developer
Experience: 5+ Years
Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities:

Understand and implement tactical or strategic solutions for a given business problem.

Engage with stakeholders to discuss business needs and technology requirements.

Define and derive both strategic and tactical solutions as needed.

Write technical design and other solution documents in compliance with Agile (SCRUM) standards.

Perform data analysis to support development work and address other business needs.

Conduct unit testing of the developed code using an automated BDD test framework.

Participate in the testing effort to validate and approve technology solutions.

Follow MS standards for adopting the automated release process across environments.

Execute automated regression test case suites and support UAT for the developed solution.

Collaborate with other FCT & NFRT teams using a collaborative approach.

Required Skills:

5+ years of hands-on experience as a Scala/Spark developer.

Strong hands-on SQL writing skills, particularly with RDBMS (DB2) databases.

Ability to optimize code for performance, scalability, and configurability.

At least 2 years of experience working on HDFS platform development projects.

Proficiency in data analysis, data profiling, and data lineage.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience working in Agile development projects.

Desired Skills:

Understanding of Actimize ACTONE platform features.

Experience in Azure Cloud-based implementations.

Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD).

Big Data technology certification.

Experience in Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics.
