We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Developer with strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to join and lead a dynamic backend development team. This role requires both deep technical knowledge and proven leadership abilities to drive backend development initiatives, ensure high code quality, and mentor a team of developers. You will be a key player in shaping scalable, secure, and performant enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend services and APIs using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
Architect and implement robust microservices aligned with business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and DevOps engineers, to define and execute technical roadmaps.
Enforce coding standards, best practices, and maintain high code quality across the team.
Perform regular code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, task estimation, and sprint execution using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
Continuously optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Support hiring efforts and contribute to building a high-performing development team.
Provide production support and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Technical Skills Required:Java 8 or higher – Strong hands-on experience
Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API development
Experience with RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate)
Strong background in unit testing and TDD using tools like JUnit and Mockito
Familiar with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and build tools (Maven, Gradle)
Working knowledge of Docker and containerization best practices
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
