Lead I - Software Engineering

Role Proficiency:

Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options optimizing application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions account for others' developmental activities

Outcomes:

     Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications.      Code debug test document and communicate product/component/feature development stages.      Validate results with user representatives; integrates and commissions the overall solution      Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components or creating own solutions      Optimises efficiency cost and quality.      Influence and improve customer satisfaction Set FAST goals for self/team; provide feedback to FAST goals of team members

Job Summary: We are looking for a Technical Lead with 7+ years of experience in managing time-sensitive, multi-stakeholder projects, particularly in the health plan data domain (Enrollments, Claims, Payments). The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in SQL (Oracle, MS SQL), cloud technologies (AWS/GCP preferred). This role requires hands-on technical leadership, the ability to troubleshoot critical data issues, manage a team of 7+ engineers, and handle Sev1/Sev2 incident responses. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Project Execution Lead and manage complex integration solutions, including design, development, testing, debugging, and deployment. Oversee multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-priority projects. Provide technical guidance to the development team, ensuring best practices in coding, performance tuning, and data management. Lead the resolution of Sev1/Sev2 incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations. Work with architects and business teams to analyze system requirements, identify gaps, and define scalable solutions. Database Development & Optimization Write and optimize complex SQL queries across multiple database platforms (Oracle, MS SQL). Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and database scripts for optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve data translation issues when data moves from source to target. Cloud & Infrastructure Management Work with cloud environments to deploy, optimize, and scale data solutions. Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to optimize cost, performance, and security. Team & Stakeholder Management Manage a team of 7+ engineers, ensuring effective mentoring, training, and career development. Collaborate with business users, data engineers, and analysts to gather technical and business requirements. Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and best practices repositories. Skills: 7+ years of experience in time-critical, multi-stakeholder projects. 3+ years in a technical lead role, managing project execution and mentoring engineers. 5+ years of experience working with health plan data (Enrollments, Claims, Payments). Experience managing a team of 7+ engineers. Expertise in SQL, including writing complex queries in Oracle, MS SQL. Experience handling Sev1/Sev2 incident response. Proficiency in scripting for troubleshooting and process automation. Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation skills.
