Lead I - Software Engineering

Role Proficiency:

Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options optimizing application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions account for others' developmental activities

Outcomes:

UST is seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead and coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of software releases across multiple platforms and teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in release deployment coordination, change management, and working within Agile or DevOps environments. You will work closely with development, QA, operations, and project management teams to ensure successful and timely software releases, minimize risks, and ensure compliance with change management processes. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and manage software releases, patches, and hotfixes across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Production). Own the end-to-end release process including scheduling, change control, documentation, and communication. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth release cycles and timely delivery. Act as the primary point of contact for all release-related activities. Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and go/no-go decisions. Implement and enforce release governance, version control, and rollback plans. Track release metrics and continuously improve release processes. Coordinate with Change Advisory Board (CAB) to ensure alignment with change management policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with releases and changes. Maintain release calendars and dashboards for visibility to all stakeholders. Ensure proper documentation of all release activities and outcomes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 5+ years of experience in release management, change management, or a similar role in software delivery. Proven experience managing complex release schedules across multiple teams. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and DevOps methodologies. Experience with tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Git, CI/CD pipelines, or equivalent. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with CABs and adhering to change management practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Healthcare domain Prior experience with automation in release or deployment processes. Soft Skills: Proactive and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Comfortable working under pressure and handling multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Collaborative team player with a customer-centric mindset.
