Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Any UST
Experience Required: 6+ Years

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools.

Manage and support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, including managing production-grade clusters.

Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible to provision and configure cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure).

Maintain and enforce best practices for version control and code integration using Git and GitHub.

Develop and manage YAML configurations for CI/CD workflows, Kubernetes deployments, and infrastructure automation.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to automate code quality checks and testing processes using tools like SonarQube and Checkstyle.

Build and maintain monitoring and ing systems using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools to ensure high availability and performance of services.

Write robust and reusable scripts in Bash, PowerShell, and Python to automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency.

Implement security best practices in DevOps workflows and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, and infrastructure problems in production and non-production environments.

Must-Have Skills:

6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or similar roles.

Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.

Expertise in Git, GitHub, and branching/merging/versioning best practices.

Solid hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster management.

Strong scripting ability in at least two of the following: Bash, PowerShell, Python.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.

Proficiency in writing and managing YAML configurations.

Experience with code quality and static analysis tools like SonarQube and Checkstyle.

Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.

Practical knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience with other CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).

Familiarity with Helm charts and managing Helm-based deployments in Kubernetes.

Knowledge of security tools and DevSecOps principles.

Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.

Familiarity with container security, network policies, and role-based access control (RBAC) in Kubernetes.

Exposure to agile methodologies and collaborative DevOps environments.
