A ServiceNow ITOM (IT Operations Management) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ITOM solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This includes configuring and customizing ITOM modules like Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration, as well as developing integrations and optimizing the CMDB.
Required Skills:
ServiceNow ITOM: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration). ServiceNow Service Portal development, including widget creation and customization.
CMDB: Strong understanding of the ServiceNow CMDB and its integration with ITOM.
Scripting: Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
Integration: Experience with REST and SOAP web services for integrations.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
ITIL: Knowledge of ITIL best practices in ITOM.
JavaScript/HTML/CSS: Familiarity with web development languages.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:
Develop and implement ITOM solutions, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration, leveraging ServiceNow best practices and industry standards.
Configuration and Customization:
Configure and customize ServiceNow ITOM modules, workflows, and integrations to meet specific business needs.
CMDB Management:
Optimize the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accurate asset and service data.
Integration Development:
Develop integrations with other systems using APIs, MID servers, and other relevant tools.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide support for the ITOM platform, troubleshoot issues, and identify areas for improvement.
Performance Tuning:
Conduct performance tuning and optimization for the ITOM platform to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with stakeholders across different teams to ensure alignment of ITOM solutions with business goals and IT strategies.
Documentation:
Document configurations, customizations, and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
