Role Proficiency:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer with a strong focus on IT Asset Management (ITAM) to join our IT Service Management team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow ITAM solutions, including Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our asset management processes within the ServiceNow platform. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: ITAM Configuration & Development • Design, configure, and implement solutions in ServiceNow IT Asset Management including: o Hardware Asset Management (HAM) o Software Asset Management (SAM) o Integration with Discovery, CMDB, Procurement, and third-party tools. • Develop custom catalog items, asset workflows, and business rules to support asset lifecycle management. • Automate asset tracking, procurement, and decommissioning processes using Flow Designer, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Workflows. Integration & Data Management • Support and maintain integrations with systems like SCCM, Intune, Jamf, vCenter, AWS/Azure, and Procurement systems. • Leverage MID Server and REST/SOAP APIs for third-party integrations. • Build and manage import sets, transform maps, and data normalization for asset records. Compliance & Optimization • Enable license compliance tracking, usage analysis, and optimization using SAM capabilities. • Implement data governance, reconciliation rules, and normalization engines for hardware/software assets. • Collaborate with SAM/HAM stakeholders to ensure accurate entitlements, usage, contracts, and reconciliation. Platform Development & Enhancements • Customize and extend platform capabilities using JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow Scripting. • Maintain and enhance Service Catalog, CMDB relationships, and reporting dashboards. • Perform code reviews, participate in sprint planning, and support continuous delivery. Support & Documentation • Troubleshoot platform issues and provide technical support for ITAM-related incidents and service requests. • Document technical designs, processes, and solutions aligned with internal standards and compliance. • Collaborate with QA team for unit and regression testing for new functionalities. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Qualifications: • 4–6 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience. • Minimum 2+ years of strong experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM): o HAM Pro and/or SAM Pro module implementation/support. • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies. • Experience with Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Catalog Management. • Understanding of CMDB structure, asset discovery, and lifecycle mapping. • Hands-on experience in building integrations with external asset and license data sources. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required. • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITAM / HAM / SAM – preferred. • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Software Models, Normalization Engine, and Reconciliation Rules. • Exposure to ITSM, Procurement, and CMDB modules. • Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise asset governance frameworks. ________________________________________ Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective verbal and written communication. • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and as part of an Agile team.
