Required Skills & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide SAP Basis administration functions, including collaborative application support and user role security.
· Support S/4HANA migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
· Set up, configure, and maintain the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
· Monitor all SAP systems activity daily to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
· Maintain all SAP system profile configurations, adjusting as needed to improve performance.
· Administer and monitor background processing and batch jobs to optimize system resources.
· Monitor and apply SAP support OSS notes to address known issues and enhance system stability.
· Maintain sandbox, development, quality assurance (QA), and training environments, including regular refreshes.
· Complete installations and upgrades of SAP systems, core modules, and provide continuous support package upgrades.
· Upgrade R3 kernel when required and complete upgrades of ASE/HANA databases.
· Maintain J2EE software stacks, monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting Java stack issues.
· Maintain the SAP portal environment, configuring backend services and managing SSL certificates.
· Plan for SAP upgrades/support packages, system sizing (capacity planning), and disk/storage/server layout.
· Monitor database growth and activity, adjusting database resources as required.
· Perform table and index maintenance, reorganizing tables and rebuilding indexes as needed.
· Participate in yearly disaster recovery scenarios to ensure business continuity.
· Diagnose long-running SQL queries and recommend corrective actions.
· Mentor junior developers in the team, setting goals, and providing feedback.
· Participate in technical screening for recruiting candidates.
· Independently manage client environments and perform installation-related activities.
· Perform root cause analysis, technical troubleshooting, and resolve performance issues.
· Develop technical documents such as Functional Design Specifications and Deployment documentation.
· Perform design document reviews, peer code reviews, and suggest code improvements.
· Serve as a single point of contact for build and deployment issues, resolving them promptly.
