The Opportunity:
Lead Cloud Infrastructure Services(Ansible)
Bangalore, KA
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for automating provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle operations of Windows, Linux, network, storage, and security infrastructure in hybrid cloud environment.
· Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to drive consistent, version-controlled, and auditable changes across all infrastructure domains, with a focus on minimizing manual intervention and eliminating configuration drift.
· Automate configuration and management of multi-vendor network (switches, firewalls), storage (NAS), and server platforms using Ansible, including modules and dynamic inventory tailored for on-premises environments.
· Integrate Ansible automation with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Jenkins), ITSM/workflow tools, and monitoring/observability systems for seamless end-to-end automation and rapid service delivery.
· Identify and prioritize automation opportunities to streamline IT operations, reduce errors/downtime, enhance security, and optimize resource utilization.
· Incorporate security best practices into automation, including OS/network patching, vulnerability remediation, policy enforcement, and compliance validation as code.
· Ensure reliability and quality through automated testing, peer code reviews, and continuous improvement of playbooks and workflows.
· Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for issues related to Ansible automation or its integrations; act as an escalation point for infrastructure teams.
· Document procedures, workflows, and standards; maintain up-to-date, clear, and actionable automation documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Windows, Linux, network, storage, security, and hardware development teams to understand requirements and deliver automation that meets diverse needs.
· Stay up to date with the latest automation trends, Ansible ecosystem changes, and (optionally) AI-assisted infrastructure coding tools.
Qualifications:
· Strong hands-on expertise in Ansible automation (playbooks, roles, modules, dynamic inventory)—across Windows, Linux, networking (e.g., Arista EOS, Sonic), and storage platforms (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage).
· Solid proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for extending and complementing Ansible use cases.
· Knowledge of Windows and Linux administration for automation of server and endpoint management (including GPO, patch management, AD/LDAP integration preferred).
· Demonstrated experience integrating Ansible with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and version control (Git).
· Familiarity with network automation practices and challenges, including automation of switches and routers
· Strong understanding of security automation, remediating vulnerabilities, enforcing security baselines, and compliance-as-code.
· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple domains (OS, network, storage, security).
· Excellent collaboration and communication skills—comfortable working with cross-functional and technical teams.
· [Optional] Relevant certifications (RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft, Ansible, or Network/Storage vendor certifications) are a plus.
Additional Desirable Skills:
· Experience with automated testing of Ansible roles/playbooks (e.g., Molecule, testinfra).
· Familiarity with monitoring/observability stack integration (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, Azure Monitor).
· Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for rapid infrastructure code development
