Lead I - Business Analysis

The Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in bridging business needs with technology solutions by leveraging strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills. The BA collaborates across Product Owners, Project Managers, Technology teams, and Business stakeholders to ensure delivery of solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired business states.

Manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Collaborate with technical teams to design and validate solutions that meet business needs and technological capabilities.

Develop detailed technical specifications, system workflows, and comprehensive documentation.

Create risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions.

Act as a liaison between business units and IT/other departments to ensure alignment on priorities and goals.

Facilitate regular meetings, status updates, and reporting for stakeholder engagement and decision-making.

Monitor project progress using KPIs and milestones, generating progress reports and dashboards.

Support deployment activities, ensuring smooth transition to production and effective user training.

Prepare operational readiness documentation to support project go-live.

Must Have Skills & Qualifications

Undergraduate and/or postgraduate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst with demonstrated project management skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.

Experience working on both technical and non-technical projects, applying Business Analysis and change management methodologies/frameworks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey project status to stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence across teams and stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage requirements changes and negotiate project scope, objectives, and resources to achieve consensus.

High attention to detail, client-centric, and solution-oriented approach.

Proficiency in project management tools/software such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheets.

Commitment to quality standards and delivering outcomes aligned with customer expectations.

Ability to develop risk mitigation and contingency plans to minimize project impact.

Good to Have Skills & Qualifications

Proven track record of outstanding performance in complex enterprise environments.

Experience creating detailed technical specifications and system workflows.

Familiarity with generating dashboards and progress reports to provide visibility to management.

Experience supporting deployment, including user training and operational readiness documentation.

Prior experience facilitating regular stakeholder meetings and maintaining ongoing status updates.

Knowledge of additional project management or business analysis tools beyond core software.
