YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

To take care for the health and safety of Shiga’s employees as well as for environmental protectionTo identify and evaluate the needs to ensure HSE compliance with Shiga/Japan local laws and regulations, on a regular basisTo delegate the duties and define the tasks according to local procedure (e.g. Management of Change, regular maintenance and inspection, environmental controls), programs or systems in compliance with Shiga/Japan local regulations and international standardsTo ensure through selection, training, supervision and performance assessment, that employees accepting HSE responsibilities have necessary qualification and competencies to assume the delegated dutiesTo verify the delegated and executed tasks regarding compliance with Shiga/Japan local laws, regulations and international standardsTo ensure and report compliance of the site with applicable international and national laws and regulatory requirements to the Managing Director and upper line management incl. addressing potential conflicts regarding HSE compliance issuesTo ensure resources to fulfill all HSE requirementsTo ensure the incident notification processesTo ensure the reporting processes (e.g. INTELEX etc.)

 

 

WHO YOU ARE:

 

University Degree or aboveAt least 3 years or more in a HSE management role in a medium to large size plant Knowledge of laws and practices related to chemical handling and safetyKnowledge of laws and practices related to occupational safety and healthKnowledge of laws and practices related to pollution prevention, fire prevention, and Sustainability (SDGs)Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company is preferred, but similar experience in the chemical, cosmetics, or food industries is also acceptableBusiness level English (TOEIC 730 and above)Fluent level of Japanese
