Centralization of Go-to-Market excellence and operational tasks across GBUsStandardizing best in class capabilities with strengthened global support while verticalization of reporting within GTMC from local to globalDefining clear ways of working and bringing clarity on interfaces with GBUs, Digital, and executional support on commercial operations from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiencyThe Lead, Global Vaccine CI supports the Competitive Intelligence (CI) vision and strategy, in alignment with stakeholder priorities. This role works closely with disease area matrix teams (including leaders and teams in Commercial, R&D, Medical, & Market Access) to provide strategic support through the identification, analysis, and distribution of timely & relevant business and competitive intelligence and actionable insights that inform the near and long-term Global Vaccine franchise strategies.
Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities include, but not limited toEvaluate competitor R&D, medical and commercial activities to help inform strategic decision making related to internal brand strategy and planningLegally and ethically gather competitive information and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations for key stakeholdersDevelop and deliver reports/communications that provide competitive insights and analysis of trends, issues, and opportunitiesClosely collaborate with other global, regional, and/or local functions (e.g., marketing, medical, market access, R&D, regulatory, legal, investor relations, NPP) to pressure test key assumptions and drive alignmentImplements all elements of internal CI model based on consultative engagement with key stakeholders, leading internal intelligence networks, coordinating the communication of intelligence, managing external CI vendors/partners, and leveraging relevant internal IT tools and platformsManage external vendor(s) to proactively maintain appropriate levels of market intelligence coverageSupport Congress CI efforts and provide key competitive insights before, during and post congressRespond to ad hoc key business questions with expert analysisRigorously apply the Company's standards of ethics and policies for intelligence gatheringEducation RequirementsBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD) preferredSkills and Competencies4+ years of relevant experience in biopharma industry (industry side or consulting)High degree of analytical horsepowerExperience with a Vaccine’s focus strongly preferredExperience with vendor-side CI firm and/or consulting firm strongly preferredProduct launch experience strongly preferredExperience in adjacent functions (NPP, marketing, value & access) a plusDemonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balance competing priorities, and ensure high qualitySoft skillseffectively influence in a highly matrixed environmentEffectively and confidently communicate to various audiences, including senior leadershipSynthesize complex ideas to simpleFocused on implications and pull through into brand implications (not just a summary of the “what”)Strong learning agility and high degree of curiosityStrong focus on detail, accuracy, and ability to solve problems through analytical reasoningStrong work ethic and personal motivationAbility to think strategically in an ambiguous environment
