Lead Fulfillment Sourcing

This role drives Academy’s omnichannel fulfillment sourcing by leveraging data insights and cross-functional partnerships to optimize inventory decisions, shipping economics, and e-commerce performance. You’ll execute systematic sourcing rules, support campaign launches, and continuously identify improvement opportunities across multiple fulfillment systems.

Job Description:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a relevant field of study. Equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

3+ years of retail, store, DC, web merchandising, planning & allocation, operations, or relevant experience required

Responsibilities:

Utilize company reporting, BI tools, and data mining to analyze sales, profit performance, shipping cost, inventory position, and replenishment strategy based on fulfillment type and locationMake inventory sourcing decisions within Syndigo PIM, based on the merchandising strategies and shipping eligibilityReview channel profitability, throughput capacity, and inventory position while also evaluating results to improve future business decisionsPartner with cross-functional teams to create seasonal fulfillment sourcing strategiesUtilize company partnerships to understand the capabilities and limitations of different fulfillment channels within multiple systems, such as Syndigo PIM, Blue Yonder, Rithum, OMS, and RMSPartner with MP&A teams to understand the merchandising and allocation strategies to best support the customer online experience and fulfillment channel KPIs, such as net shipping cost and shipments per orderExecute item attribution, within Syndigo PIM, to assure proper systematic sourcing by fulfillment and item price typeUnderstand company goals/metrics and how they directly impact fulfillment KPIs, including but not limited to shipping costs, shipments per order, and fulfillment rateMaintain a high-level understanding of the eCom P&L and adjust business sourcing strategies to support fulfillment KPIs and the company's goalsWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all fulfillment actions are complete prior to campaign launchesAssist Customer Care in fulfilling customer orders by facilitating bulk order processes when necessaryActive participant in cross-functional collaboration sessions with other teams across the organization, primarily: Omnichannel, Store Operations, DCs, Merchandising, Logistics, Product/Project Management, IT, and Customer CareUnderstand system data flows for key Academy.com systems; leverage this understanding to triage issues; and identify opportunities for improvementUnderstand the way Omnichannel fits into Academy’s multi-channel strategyDevelop a thorough understanding of the Academy’s policies, procedures, and safety rulesDuties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned
