Essential skills and experience:
This position requires a BS in engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved programA minimum of 5 years of experience including:Fire detection and alarm systemsFire suppression systemsHydraulic sprinkler design and layout analysis programsMinimum of 12 years of experience developing nuclear power industry PRA analysesAssignments require the preparation of calculations and reports, and excellent technical report writing skills are essentialStrong interest in numerical computations and problem solvingProficiency with industry PRA softwareProficiency with MS Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
Valued but not required skills and experience:
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and designation as an Engineer in TrainingPE licenseExperience in performing PRA analyses in support of surveillance frequency control programs (SFCP)Experience in performing categorization of systems in support of 10CFR50.69 programsFire PRA, Seismic PRA, and other external event PRA model development and application experiencePost fire or aircraft impact safe-shutdown analysisInterest and experience with thermal-hydraulic software to support PRA success criteria or design-basis analysis (e.g. MAAP, GOTHIC, RELAP)Award-Winning Benefits
