Lead Events Management Specialist

About this role:

Wells Fargo is hiring a Lead Events Management Specialist for the Wells Fargo Meetings and Events (WFME) team. This position will be responsible for planning, producing and successfully executing events for Business Groups and Enterprise Functions.

In this role, you will:

​Plan, manage and execute on all logistical and aspects of major/enterprise level, multi-day meetings, conferences or events

As the subject matter expert, drives discussions with business partners on scope, providing guidance and recommendations on logistics, communication methodologies and contingency planning during the event lifecycle

Collaborate with business partners on scope, providing guidance and recommendations on logistics, communication methodologies and contingency planning during the event lifecycle

Partner with Sourcing & Contracting on vendor bids to match program needs and support on negotiating service needed to execute on programs

Build and maintain knowledge of WF business line structure and processes

Establishes and maintains ongoing vendor relationships to ensure they are cost-effective and deliver quality service

Fosters relationships with LOB liaisons and displays leadership skills in managing and executing meetings 

Ensures alignment to the LOB strategy

Involved in planner industry forums and is actively involved and up-to-date on industry trends

Ensures adherence to compliance and privacy regulations and policies 

Responsible for identifying and managing all inherent risks. May mentor and/or coach a small team and acts as the main liaison between one LOB


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Event Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

5+ years of full planning and execution of corporate meeting & event planning experience

Experience understanding the industry and having the ability to clearly understand and articulate company/industry issues for a variety of different audiences and channels

Experience prioritizing work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, provide solutions to problems, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Experience managing confidential materials in a professional manner

Demonstrate emotional intelligence and professional etiquette under pressure

Experiencing taking initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

Strong operational risk experience including strong analytical, managerial, and negotiation skills

Experience partnering with stakeholders including strong ability to influence and build consensus across teams

Experience being able to adapt to continued changes within the businesses

Preferred experience using events management tool, Cvent


Job Expectations:

Ability to work a hybrid schedule working on-site at the office locations listed below

This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

Ability to travel 40% of the time
