OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Lead Estimator for our Central Water Division, in Westminster, CO.

The Lead Estimator will support management, operations and estimating staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications. The Lead Estimator will organize and supervise teams comprised of entry-level to executive level employees and will perform pricing and bidding of construction projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Review project plans, requirements and specificationsLead and coordinate teams of estimators to develop a large multidisciplinary estimateDetermine labor and equipment costsReview accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricingReview all bid documents and assess project risksEvaluate project logistics and project schedulePrepare bid packagesCompare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier pricingPresent quotes and estimates to senior leadershipComprehends contract requirements for diversity compliance 

QUALIFICATIONS

Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred8 years of construction management experience Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs and engineering principlesAbility to lead teams of varying sizes and skill setsCapability of leading hard bids, negotiated bids, and conceptual projectStrong communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation skillsAdvanced computer skills with estimating softwareAbility to meet deadlines in a fast paced, changing environmentRequired to travel for projects that are bidding in different regions.
