About the Role:
As a Lead Enterprise Software Engineer, you will independently execute sophisticated software development tasks. Your expertise will drive the creation of robust end-user applications and tools, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance in critical business domains.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development and support of ServiceNow systems aligned with business initiatives.
• Translate enterprise strategy into ServiceNow deliverables.
• Develop ServiceNow components: business rules, client/server scripts, UI policies/actions, workflows, and web services.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews.
• Develop troubleshooting strategies for complex issues.
• Administer and customize ServiceNow and its integrations.
• Conduct comprehensive performance testing and tuning.
• Create and update extensive technical documentation.
• Oversee the implementation of new technologies and methodologies.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure successful deployment and configuration of software systems.
• Collaborate on architectural and design decisions.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in software processes.
• Collaborate with project management, QA, and business stakeholders to define and deliver platform capabilities.
• Ensure SLA compliance and provide production support.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring.
Skills:
• Expert Programming: Advanced skills in JavaScript, Web Services, MySQL, XML, HTML, CSS, Angular.JS or similar.
• Workflow configuration and custom workflow creation.
• API-based integration with third-party systems.
• CMDB management and data integrity assurance.
• Strategic Debugging: Mastery in resolving complex technical problems.
• Version Control Mastery: Extensive use of Git or equivalent systems.
• Advanced Testing: Capable of conducting and leading performance testing efforts.
• Technical Leadership: Strong leadership in maintaining technical documentation.
• Technology Implementation: Skills in adopting and implementing the latest technologies.
• Continuous Improvement and CI/CD: Focus on process and performance improvements.
Leadership & Strategy:
• Mentorship: Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Maintain awareness of industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and architecture.
- Experience with Agile practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
